These light tan trousers are crafted from a substantial cavalry twill, one of our favourite fabrics for autumn and winter. Cavalry twill is a matte, smooth-surfaced fabric, characterised by its distinctive double twill weave. It’s hardwearing, comfortable, and holds its shape exceptionally well, making it an excellent choice for everyday wear. Woven in Yorkshire, England, and dyed to our exact specifications, this light tan version is a versatile addition to your wardrobe.

This pair is made in Italy and features a high rise, single pleats, and a gentle taper below the knee. The side adjusters eliminate the need for a belt, enhancing the trousers' clean silhouette. Designed for both formal and casual settings, our light tan cavalry twill trousers pair well with navy and brown sport coats, as well as more relaxed pieces like lambswool sweaters and cardigans.

Our cavalry twill is woven in Yorkshire, England, by a family-run mill specialising in worsted fabrics. With deep roots in British military history, the fabric was originally used for the riding trousers of cavalry officers—hence its name. While smooth to the touch, its distinctive double twill weave creates a subtle yet elegant texture. Renowned for its durability and natural stretch, cavalry twill is hardwearing yet comfortable, making it ideal for tailored garments such as trousers and suits.

Made in Italy

Our trousers are crafted with meticulous attention to fit and construction. Each pair is tailored in a workshop in Italy dedicated exclusively to making trousers, according to patterns which we have perfected over the years.

Crafted with attention to detail, they feature sartorial details such as a curtained waistband, a traditional button fly, an after-dinner split, and neat pick stitching along the fly and pockets. The buttons are made from high-quality buffalo horn or corozo.
