Traditional Craftsmanship
With roots in bespoke tailoring, craftsmanship remains at the heart of Besnard. Our aim is to create clothing that is not only a pleasure to wear but also built to endure—garments that stand the test of time and can be passed down through generations.
Every garment is made with meticulous attention to fit and construction. We partner with artisans who specialise in a single product, ensuring each piece meets the highest standard.
Tailoring
Our tailoring is made in Italy with a full canvas construction and meticulous hand-sewing in key areas such as the collar, armholes, and buttonholes.
The canvas shapes the chest and lapels, allowing for a natural roll from the lapels towards the bottom. Over time, the jacket adapts to the wearer’s body, offering both structure and comfort.
Trousers
Each pair is tailored in a workshop in Italy dedicated exclusively to making trousers, according to patterns which we have perfected over the years. Paper patterns guide the chalk markings before each piece is cut by hand—methods unchanged because they remain the best.
Designed with sartorial details, our trousers feature a curtained waistband, a traditional button fly, an after-dinner split, and neat pick stitching along the fly and pockets.
