A darker, more muted brown than our brown flannel. The cloth is woven with a charcoal yarn in the warp and a dark brown yarn in the weft, and the two together give the colour its depth.

The flannel is woven in Huddersfield from woollen-spun yarn, which gives it a soft, slightly mottled surface. At 380 grams it is warm without being heavy and wears comfortably through autumn and winter. It is finished by the London Shrunk process, which lets the cloth relax to its natural width, so it drapes well and stays soft to the touch.

Made in Italy with a high rise, single pleats and a gentle taper below the knee. Side adjusters at the waist keep the line clean without a belt. Wear them with an oatmeal or cream sport coat, or with a light grey lambswool sweater.
