Our pre-fall collection draws inspiration from the bold and brash fashions of highly successful investment bankers in the mid-eighties. The 1980s saw a shift from the more organic patterns and slim outlines of the previous decade toward bolder colours, striped patterns, and voluminous, broader suits.
One of the most influential films from this period is Wall Street. Michael Douglas’s portrayal of Gordon Gekko defined the period, mood, and zeitgeist of the film’s setting.
Gordon Gekko's clothes brilliantly evoke his character and the world in which he operates. To embrace his style is to welcome what became the period’s aesthetic. It was a time of bulkier suits, bold clothes, and accessories.
