Thomas Mason Light Blue Reverse Stripe Linen

This made-to-measure shirt is cut from Thomas Mason's light blue reverse stripe linen, woven in a plain weave from pure European linen. It has more body than a fine cotton shirting, with a dry, slightly textured hand. European linen is strong, breathable and naturally cool against the skin. It creases readily, and that's part of its character, softening and relaxing with each wash.

Each shirt is cut by hand to your measurements and made with either three handmade operations (armholes, buttons and gusset) or six, adding a hand-set collar, hand-worked buttonholes and bartacks, finished with thick Australian mother-of-pearl buttons.

Here the stripe runs light against a darker blue ground, the reverse of the usual convention, giving the cloth a softer, more tonal look from a distance.
