This made-to-measure shirt is cut from Thomas Mason's blue micro grid Portland cloth, a superfine 120/2 poplin. The yarn is dyed before weaving, giving the grid its depth and clarity. A 120s two-ply yarn gives a smooth, crisp handle without feeling thin, and it holds up well with regular wear.

Each shirt is cut by hand to your measurements and made with either three handmade operations (armholes, buttons and gusset) or six, adding a hand-set collar, hand-worked buttonholes and bartacks, finished with thick Australian mother-of-pearl buttons.

This is a micro grid in blue, a fine check formed by the weave rather than the colour, giving the cloth texture and depth at close range while reading as a plain blue from a distance.
