Navy Tonal Stripe Grenadine Tie

Grenadine is one of the most versatile weaves for a tie. The open, gauze-like structure gives it a texture that plain silk lacks, more interesting to wear than flat silk.

This navy tie is striped in texture instead of colour. Bands of smooth satin alternate with bands of grenadine, both in the same navy, so the stripe shows as a shift in surface and light rather than a change of colour. It reads as a solid from a distance and as a stripe up close.

Made by hand in Italy, this tie features hand-rolled blades and a 3-fold construction with light interlining to ensure a modest knot.
