This navy flight jacket is our version of the A-2, the leather blouson issued to American pilots from the 1930s. Ours keeps the shape and the pocket layout but replaces the leather with linen and the military detailing with something more modern.

The linen is woven in Ireland in a twill, where linen is more often a plain weave. Twill gives the cloth a diagonal structure and more drape, so the jacket softens against the body. At 320 grams it carries enough weight to keep its shape.

Made in Italy and fully lined in cotton. The brass zip is two-way, so it can be opened from the hem to give some shape through the waist. Horn buttons fasten the bellows pockets, and the front pockets can also be entered from the side, giving somewhere to put your hands without opening the flaps.
