This navy double-breasted sport coat, made from a medium-weight flannel, offers an elegant layer for cooler months. While often overlooked in favour of single-breasted sport coats, we find the navy double-breasted coat rightly holds a place in the modern wardrobe. It complements formal pairings, such as grey or charcoal flannels, yet works equally well dressed down with jeans and knitwear.

Our version is made in Italy with a full canvas construction and meticulous hand-sewing in key areas, including the collar, armholes, and buttonholes. It features a 6×2 button configuration, broad lapels with a low gorge and gentle curve, and jetted pockets. The woollen flannel, woven in Italy, has a rich, deep shade of navy, with a soft, slightly textured finish.

This navy double-breasted sport coat pairs well with a range of trousers, from light grey and charcoal flannels to various shades of grey cavalry twill, and even denim for a more relaxed look. It transitions seamlessly between dress shirts and ties for formal occasions and knitwear, such as lambswool crewnecks or merino roll necks, for an elevated casual style.

House Style

Our house style is characterized by a full chest, slightly extended shoulders, and broad lapels with a low gorge and a gentle curve. The shoulders are unpadded, and the construction remains soft, with just enough canvas to shape the jacket. One of its most distinctive features is the hidden dart running from armhole to pocket. Rooted in traditional tailoring principles, our house style balances classic proportions with a flattering silhouette, ensuring both elegance and comfort.

Full Canvas

Our tailoring is made with a full and floating canvas. We use canvas to shape the chest and lapels, achieving a natural roll from the bottom towards the shoulders. Even with the jacket unbuttoned, the lapels elegantly drape away from the body, accentuating the waistline. Canvas also lets the jacket breathe, allowing it to adapt and conform to the wearer’s body shape the more it is worn.
