Mid Brown Covert Safari Jacket

This mid brown safari jacket is made in Italy from covert cloth woven in Biella. Covert is a tightly woven wool twill, originally used for riding coats, with a dry handle and a faint fleck where two shades of yarn are twisted together. At 440 grams it is the heaviest in our safari jacket range, which makes it one for spring and early autumn.
We designed this safari jacket to sit between a sport coat and a shirt jacket. The lapels are cut to roll, and we put the buttoning point at the waist as you would on a tailored jacket, which gives it more shape than a field jacket.
It is unlined, which makes it cooler to wear. The chest pockets have inverted pleats under flaps, the lower pockets are bellows, and the buttons are horn. An adjustable waistband at the back draws the jacket in through the waist.
