Burgundy White Polka Dot Grenadine Tie

Grenadine is one of the most versatile weaves for a tie. The open, gauze-like structure gives it a texture that plain silk lacks, which is what makes it more interesting to wear: it holds a solid colour with depth, and sits as easily with a business suit as with a sport coat.

Grenadine is woven on wooden shuttle looms in two gauges. Garza Grossa is the larger, more open weave; Garza Fina is the finer, tighter gauge, smoother and closer to solid. This is the burgundy Garza Fina, woven with small white polka dots.

Made by hand in Italy, this tie features hand-rolled blades and a 3-fold construction with light interlining to ensure a modest knot.
