Measurement Guide

Contact us at customercare@besnard.co if you're still not sure about your size.

This brown herringbone sport coat is crafted from Shetland tweed, woven in Scotland. Shetland tweed is lighter and softer than traditional tweeds, with a looser weave and a slightly spongy hand. Its comfort makes it ideal for everyday wear. A brown sport coat is highly versatile, adding warmth to an outfit and pairing well with a range of trousers. We were particularly drawn to the width of this herringbone, which we find ideal for sport coats, striking a balance that is neither too narrow nor too wide.

Our tailoring is made in Italy with a full canvas construction and meticulous hand-sewing in key areas such as the collar, armholes, and buttonholes. Patch pockets enhance its casual nature, making it versatile for both everyday wear and more formal settings.

This brown herringbone tweed sport coat complements a range of trousers, from light grey and charcoal flannel to various shades of grey cavalry twill, and even denim for a more relaxed look. For the top half, consider an oxford cloth button-down shirt or a ribbed turtleneck, both excellent choices for cooler seasons.

House Style

Our house style is characterized by a full chest, slightly extended shoulders, open quarters, and a generous lapel with a low gorge. The shoulders are unpadded and the construction is soft, with just enough canvas to shape the jacket. One of the most distinctive features is the hidden dart running from armhole to pocket. Guided by the principles of traditional tailoring, our house style combines classic proportions with a silhouette designed to flatter, all while maintaining comfort.

Full Canvas

Our tailoring is made with a full and floating canvas. We use canvas to shape the chest and lapels, achieving a natural roll from the bottom towards the shoulders. Even with the jacket unbuttoned, the lapels elegantly drape away from the body, accentuating the waistline. Canvas also lets the jacket breathe, allowing it to adapt and conform to the wearer’s body shape the more it is worn.
