Brown Fox Brothers Flannel Gun Club Tie

This brown gun club tie is made from Fox Brothers' worsted flannel, spun from long combed fibres for a smoother finish than traditional woollen flannel while retaining some of its soft texture.

Gun club check is built on a houndstooth structure worked in three colours rather than the usual two, here in dark brown, black, and rust; the pattern originated as a Scottish district check before an American shooting club adopted it as their livery in the 1870s, giving it its name. The lighter weight of the flannel suits a tie particularly well, allowing a modest knot without excess bulk, and it pairs naturally with tweed, covert cloth, or a plain navy or charcoal suit.

Handmade in Italy with a 3-fold construction, light interlining, and hand-rolled, untipped blades.
