This white and red knitted T-shirt carries the fine stripe of the Breton, the shirt issued to French sailors from 1858 and worn ever since.

It is knitted in Scotland from fine-gauge organic cotton. The long-staple yarn gives a smooth surface that stays smooth, and the hem and cuffs are knitted with longer ribs so they hold close at the body and the arms. We make ours slightly shorter in the body, which sits well with high-rise trousers.
