The Casual Style Guide by Permanent Style

Simon Crompton has spent more than a decade writing about tailoring, visiting the workshops and passing on what the tailors themselves told him. In recent years he has widened the range from bespoke and classic menswear into workwear and less formal dress. We stock Permanent Style because there is very little else written about clothes with the same depth.

The Casual Style Guide applies the same approach to clothes that are not tailored, organised into five ways of dressing casually: Western, Ivy, workwear, tonal and English country.

Most street-style books show pictures that work because of the location or the person, and leave you no wiser. This one explains the clothes, using formality, colour combinations and the mixing of sartorial and casual dress.
