Navy Red and White Broken Regimental Stripe Tie

A navy, red and white striped tie in silk repp, woven for us in Como by Italy's oldest silk mill. The stripe is broken, interrupted at intervals instead of running the full length of the tie.

The regimental stripe began in nineteenth-century Britain, where each regiment wore its colours on a tie. In the British style the stripe runs from the left shoulder down to the right.

Made by hand in Italy, this tie features hand-rolled blades and a 3-fold construction with light interlining to ensure a modest knot.
