Light Blue and White Stripe Silk Tie

A light blue and white striped tie in silk, woven for us in Como by Italy's oldest silk mill. The bands alternate between mulberry silk, which is smooth, and tussah, which is slubbed, so the stripe reads as a change in texture as much as in colour.

The blue is a melange rather than a flat colour, which keeps it soft against the white. It suits warm-weather tailoring, from a beige cotton suit to a navy sport coat.

Made by hand in Italy, this tie features hand-rolled blades and a 3-fold construction with light interlining to ensure a modest knot.
