Dark Brown Leather Dress Belt

This dark brown dress belt is made in Italy from Horween Chromexcel, a leather tanned in Chicago over twenty-eight days by a combination of chrome and vegetable tanning, then hot stuffed with oils and waxes. That last step is what gives Chromexcel its pull-up: bend the belt and the flexed area lightens, then settles back as the oils redistribute. It darkens and softens with wear.

The belt is 3cm wide and lined in nubuck. The buckle is solid brass, and both the buckle and the keeper loop are stitched by hand.

We chose the leather and suede to match our most-worn footwear. This one sits with brown oxfords, brogues or penny loafers.
