Brown Grenadine Tie

Grenadine is one of the most versatile weaves for a tie. The open, gauze-like structure gives it a texture that plain silk lacks, which is what makes it more interesting to wear: it holds a solid colour with depth, and sits as easily with a business suit as with a sport coat.

Grenadine is woven on wooden shuttle looms in two gauges. Garza Grossa is the larger, more open weave, with a pronounced texture and a slightly fuller knot. Garza Fina is the finer, tighter gauge, smoother and closer to solid from a distance. This is the brown Garza Grossa.

Made by hand in Italy, this tie features hand-rolled blades and a 3-fold construction with light interlining to ensure a modest knot.
